Golf & Networking Series Event – Kingswood Golf & Country Club
Thursday 27th June 2024
Join us for a fantastic day which offers an opportunity to meet like-minded women, be inspired by some great guest speakers, receive coaching from experienced golf professionals, make new connections, enjoy a great golf course and the fantastic facilities of a stunning venue.
Start the day with a light breakfast and informal networking session following introductions from WIGB Founder Nicky Lawrenson. Gain expert guidance on the all important scoring zone of the game with a putting clinic and fun challenge. Our guest speakers will then share an inspirational and enlightening talk during lunch.
For those with some golfing experience, the afternoon will commence with 9 holes on the course, this will be a relaxed team of 4 Texas Scramble. For golfers new to the game, coaching and guidance on the key fundamentals will be available on the driving range and short game area, developing your skills and confidence.
The day will finish with refreshments, prize presentation and any further networking you may wish to do.

Guest Speaker – Kate Lander
Kates business career has spanned 30 years within the finance and education sectors – and includes everything from being an accountant, to running a sales desk and being a CEO, Chief Strategy Officer, and Non-Executive Director. Passionate about the execution of strategy, leadership, business development, risk management, investment management, and the education sector.
Kate has also spent 30 years combining her passion for business and sport – and passionately believes that however different they may look on the outside, those 2 parts of her life are deeply intertwined and extremely complementary. Brought up on tennis and hockey, she took up golf around 20 years ago and has been hooked ever since, joining St George’s Hill Golf Club in Weybridge in 2009, where she also sits as a NED on the Board.

Join PGA Fellow Professional & WIGB Founder, Nicky Lawrenson and Executive coach & Coaching in Flow Founder, Sally Domingo-Jones for a unique 2-day training and coaching retreat that provides a welcoming, supportive, and all-inclusive environment for businesswomen to master the basics of golf or develop current skills. Workshops are incorporated alongside practical coaching that provide insightful strategies for enhancing wellbeing, resilience, confidence and performance.

Nicky Lawrenson – PGA Fellow Professional & WIGB Founder
Nicky Lawrenson embarked upon her professional career following several years of competitive golf and in 2001 attained her PGA Diploma gaining 3rd position within Great Britain and Ireland. She furthered her coaching career at The Emirates Golf Club, Dubai, where she gained invaluable experience as Senior Academy Instructor at the Peter Cowen Golf Academy. Following on from Dubai, Nicky moved to Spain as Academy Director of Roda Golf & Beach Resort and since returning to the U.K, continued with her coaching and became the Director of Golf at Bowood Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort.
With over 20 years coaching experience expanding across several continents, Nicky has also pursued her passion within the field of performance mindset and is a certified Master NLP Practitioner. Her passion within this area also led her to study various concepts within human performance.
In 2011 Nicky was awarded Fellow status within the Professional Golfers Association. With a coaching philosophy that bases itself upon a holistic approach, Nicky endeavours to develop each individuals golfing needs in an enjoyable, relaxed and simplified manner.
Throughout her career she has also gained great experience within various corporate environments and noticed that a familiar pattern arose whilst working within this arena in that female participants were in the minority. A great passion grew within Nicky to ensure that businesswomen could fully embrace and capitalise on the professional, personal and wellbeing benefits these environments and the game as a whole can bring. From here, ‘Women in Golf & Business’ was born.

Sally Domingo-Jones – Executive coach & Founder of Coaching in Flow
Sally is a somatic strengths coach who helps people and teams discover and use their strengths and values to live purposeful, happy and successful lives. She is experienced at coaching teams, groups and individuals and she has worked with people at all levels of the organisation from people starting out in their career and returners to work through to those climbing the career ladder and reaching senior leadership positions.
Sally has a passion for education and brings 20 years’ experience of working in and with skills organisations to help promote the value of lifelong learning. She is a skilled and experienced leader having established, grown and led teams for several global organisations over the past 15 years. Sally also brings her experience as a yoga teacher into her work, helping people to embody their learning to create sustainable change.

Guest Speaker – Rachel Bell
Rachel Bell is an Architect, and Director of Partnerships at Stride Treglown.
Beyond her day job, Rachel supports numerous initiatives encouraging a more inclusive construction industry for the future. She is a mentor through the Mentoring Circle and a director for Women in Property limited.
As an industry role model, Rachel has won many awards and accolades for her contributions. In 2018-19, she was named a UK Construction Week Role Model, Property Week RESI Trailblazer, Insider SW Property Personality of the Year 2018, Insider SW Diversity champion of the year 2021, SW Mentor of the Year and was twice a finalist in the European Women in Construction and Engineering Awards. Rachel now connects more widely through other industries with her interest in travelling for a purpose and empowering women. In Spring 2023 Rachel led a Women’s Partnership Challenge trip to Malawi and is returning in 2024.
‘Stand Tall’ is her mantra – something she encourages everyone to do.
